Behari Boti by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

Beef undercut 1 kg
Onion (fried) 1/2 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Raw papaya paste 2 tbsp
Dried round red chillies 50 grams
Cumin seeds 50 grams
Desiccated coconut 50 grams
Poppy seeds (powdered) 50 grams
Kachri powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tbsp
Carom seeds 1 tbsp
Hot spices powder 1 tbsp
Nutmeg and mace (powdered) 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Fresh coriander, tomato, lemons (slices) for garnishing

Method:

Grind finely cumin, red chillies, carom seeds, nutmeg and mace in a grinder.
Add kachri powder, pepper, coconut, poppy seeds, hot spices and salt.
Marinate undercut with the masala; add onions, lemon juice, papaya and oil; set aside for 4 hours.
Thread undercut on skewers, barbecue oven cook or bake in an oven.
Garnish with coriander, tomato and lemons; Serve.
