Ingredients:
Rice (soaked) ½kgBeef mince (grind thickly) ½kg
Whole brown lentils bailed 250 grams
Tomatoes (cut lengthwise) 250 grams
Capsicum (cubed) 250 grams
Mint leaves (finely cut) 1 bunch
Onions (finely cut) 1
Whole green chillies 10
Red chillies (crushed) 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Whole hot spices 1 tbsp
Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
Water 1 cup
Salt 2 tsp
Oil 1 cup
Tomatoes, mint leaves for garnishing
Method:
Heat oil in a pot and fry onions golden; add mince, ginger/garlic, hot spices, turmeric, red chillies and salt and fry.Add water and cook with a lid on until mince is tender.
Add lentils, rice, capsicums, tomatoes and green chilies and cook until rice has boiled, keep on dum.
Dish out and garnish with tomatoes and mint.
